This is what really inspired the channel. Taking a beat-up rifle found at a pawnshop and restoring it to be given as a Christmas gift. All the supporting doc. Revelation Hi, I was doing some searching on the internet and found this group and your postings. I have a Revelation Model 105 22 bolt action rifle. I purchased this rifle new at a Western Auto Store on Main Street Brockway Pennsylvania in July 1964. I don't remember what I paid for it. I know it was on sale and came with a scope. • In 1971 the revelation 120 was sold by Western Auto it was made by Marlin and was the predecessor for the Marlin 60. My first single shot 22 rifle was bought at Western Auto new but it was stamped Winchester in 1953. And was purchased for me by my Stepfather for use on the farm.
  • Mossberg 640 Chuckster Revelation 107 in 22 Magnum WMR w/ Scope $275 Asheville I have a very nice 60's era Mossberg 640 in 22 Mag @ $275. It is labeled as a Revelation 107 and was sold at Western Auto Stores. This gun is an amazingly accurate bolt action rifle with a 5 round magazine and it shoots great. It comes with a nice Tasco scope.
I was given this old tube-fed .22 by my Dad. It has some problems. It outshoots modern off-the-shelf 10/22 and Remington 597 by good bit, so I thought this old pea shooter would be worth repairing.
It looks like the stock was very cheaply manufactured, with a lot of extra room that shouldn't be there for the receiver and trigger assembly. At some point, someone cranked down the screws on the trigger assembly enough to break it. I don't expect anyone to know of a replacement part for something this old (although it would certainly be nice..) but am open to any suggestions as to how to easily repair it better that I already have.
The trigger assembly is broken between the two rear screw holes. Currently, it is stuck together with super glue gel.
The front mounting screw hole for the trigger assy is also broken so that the head of the screw passes through freely:
I have rebuilt the interior of the stock using an epoxy putty. I put a layer of saran wrap between the receiver and the stock and put it in place. I pushed blobs of epoxy putty up into the vacant spaces from the bottom, then put more plastic wrap over it and pushed the trigger assembly into place to what looked like the proper position. I smeared the screws with grease to keep the epoxy from sticking, and loosely screwed them in. After setting the opening looks like this:
the rifle is currently fuctional, but the trigger is held in place by only the single remaining good screw.
Ideas?
thx,

Revelation Western Auto 22 Cal Rifle

This is a special project for me. I found this particular rifle in Lake Havasu City at a pawn shop. It had been listed on Gunbroker a few times with no bites. I patiently watched, waited and ended up getting it for $75. The condition of this rifle was rough yet still functional. The stock showed scratches from use over the past 60 years and the barrel showed signs of rusting and raw steel. This rifle needed some attention and TLC to be restored back to a factory new condition (or as close as one can get to that). Chilkat software keygen cracks.

  • Mossberg manufactured the Revelation 100A for the Western Auto Co. department stores.
  • It sold for about $12 back when it was released.
  • The 100A is the Mossberg 320/321 labeled under the Western Auto 'Revelation' brand.
  • The closest model may be the Mossberg 320K as the 320B was sold as a 'Boy Scout' version.
  • Most of the resources and parts that will be found are for the 320 or 321.

The objective of this project is to:

  • Reblue the barrel and all blued metal parts.
  • Sand the damaged stock to re-stain and seal it.
  • Deep clean all parts individually and reassemble the rifle.
